[Solved] Password protected document

Post by batch6 »

Hello, I'm using 4.1.7 with Windows 10 and have an issue with a password protected document, it has been working fine but yesterday the document will open as usual but disappear within 10 seconds, if I change it to read only it will open as normal. Have tried opening a new document and a new password but the same problem. Any ideas ?

If the file is saved in a foreign file format save it in Open Document Format.
------------------------------------------------------------
In order to rescue the ODF document ...
1. Create a backup copy
2. Open in read-only mode and copy all sheets into a new document. Just open two windows side by side and drag the sheet tabs over into the other window.
3. Save the new document and test it.

You may try https://libreoffice.org/ which is the more actively developed successor to OpenOffice.
