Lost custom Gallery
Lost custom Gallery
Openoffice 4.1.7 on Windows 10. 64bit 3 Ghz with Dell monitor resolution 3840 x 2160
Re: Lost: a custom gallery
The custom gallery is kept in your user profile. See [Tutorial] The OpenOffice User Profile. You'll need to copy the profile, or at least the relevant part (in your case the Gallery sub-directory) from your old computer.
Slackware 15 (current) 64 bit
Apache OpenOffice 4.1.16

I hate this damn computer, I wish that I could sell it.
It won't do what I want it to, Only what I tell it.

Re: Lost: a custom gallery
Re-installation of OpenOffice on a computer where it was previously installed often picks up the existing User Profile, hence the Galleries and other customisation. Installation of OpenOffice on a _NEW_ computer is installing it on the equivalent of a blank sheet of paper, and it has nothing to pick up. You need to move the OpenOffice user profile from the old computer.sirjames wrote:I have this Lost Custom Gallery problem too. I have a new PC and Dell HD monitor, after old one died. Downloaded OO 4.7.1 and of course the gallery items I created were not there. In the past new (re) inst of OO has magically picked these up, from somewhere. Having copied OO to backup, I was hoping to reinstall my user Gallery to new OS, but have no clue as to where to find it in backup copy or replace in new install, spent ages looking for it's location, even if this is feasible? Any help much appreciated.
