[Solved] Spellcheck add options

I was creating a new resume on Writer (OpenOffice.org 2.3), glace is not an approved word. I ran spellcheck to add glace to my personal dictionary and was given three choices; 1) soffice, 2) sun 3) standard. I have not been able to find out what my choices, once made would do.

In general, with every option or choice offered would you all explain what is involved?

I know what I am asking for is a lot and that it will take time but I have patience and will continue to bring attention to anything I think is not as it should be; that's my job.
