[Issue] Complete filename

Post by HansPiet »

One of the most irritating issues is for me is the fact that programs don't give the full filename (that is including the path) in the header of a window.
OpenOffice is also lacking that kind of friendly service to the user.
An buttonto show that brings up the complete filename would be an enomous approvement. How difficult can that be?

Have you read the Forum Survival Guide? There's little point to complaining here, we're simply users, not developers.

If you want a more visible place to see the whole path and file name, try adding the "Load URL" item to a toolbar (Tools > Customize). That will display the current file, including the full path and file extension.

Now that was simple. I've wanted that for a couple of years and never thought to ask about it. Thanks

For the filename, see here: [Issue] Show Filename & File Type in the Title Bar. You should subscribe and vote for the bug report linked (up to 2 votes per issue).
