dude, may use some help here.
Just cant believe myself to notice how awesome OOo suite is, and trying hard to kick-ms office-ass out of my laptop. Anyway, having some question about spellchek function in Writer right now.
I'm pretty sure I set up the default language is English for OOo, but no matter which word I typed in, Writer told me I was wrong about spelling. Plus, there is no word suggestion for those words. I am not quite sure if there is some more dictionaries I need to install first, or some options I should set up.
So rookie question, I know. But would you please help me out this? I don't want to have my whole screen full of red curly underline every word, thank you.

I did read the post by that link. But I got a little confused.
1. where can I find some other eng-dic extension to install?
2. Since OS I used right now is XP, I am not so sure the folder mentioned in that post can be located under XP system. I did try to look it up. Unfortunately, there is only ...\onu package\cache\onu package\, no more further.
Does that mean I have to wait for the 3.0 release? or is there some other alternative way to fix this problem?

Why not use the most current stable version of OOo 2.0 (2.4.1)?
Re: Spellcheck in Writer 3.0
I knew there is no problem in 2.4.1. But still want to figure out how to deal with 3.0Beta

There are not many extensions yet for dictionaries. What you can do is to adapt one of them to your needs by tweaking the initial extension and replacing its dictionary files by the one you want to install (and changing the dictionary.xcu file).
As OOo is cross platform, you can find the same folders on your Windows system, you just have to adapt the path. /home in GNU/Linux is \Documents and settings\<username>\...
