I had no problem getting to labels, picked brand: Avery 5160
I was able to type in the addresses on the labels and saved to my documents file.
When I went back to open the Address label document it didn't come out in the Avery template.
WHAT happened? It has one address label and the rest is gone. I can't update or make additions.
How do I resolve this? Seems worthless to go back in to the template I save and then have to recreate.

Re: Open Office Labels
Did you save it as a template (.ott) or a document (.odf)? It needs to be a template if you wish to reuse it.

Re: OpenOffice Labels
Thanks for your help Tom. I did save it as .ott and I still had some problems. First it disappeared. Then it came back, however, when I saved it and named it, and when I did reopen it, the document shows Untitled. WHY? any suggestions. The data this time is there on the labels. I don't understand why the file name shows untitled because then I have to 'Save As' and Name file again and go to 'file type' again to set it to .ott and then Save.
Also want to know if you know how to copy entire label Avery 5260 labels using Open Office and duplicate on another file. When I experienced this problem, I had to go through each box in the labels and copy and paste to another label. It didn't allow me to just copy entire label page.

Re: OpenOffice Labels
Because it is a template. When you open a template you have to give the document a new name when you save it.CharLee wrote:I did save it as .ott ... when I saved it and named it, and when I did reopen it, the document shows Untitled. WHY?
