Open Office not working

All of a sudden, Open office does not work for me, I cannot save, open or anything else except write. Do I need to reinstall and if so, should I delete the present program? Thanks for advice.

If you are using Windows, run the OOo setup program again, and choose "repair". If that doesn't help, then I would uninstall all the OOo components and re-install fresh.

You can also try to rename your OOo user profile to get a blank new one. Under Windows, it's Documents and settings\<user>\Application data\OpenOffice.org2. If no change, you can replace the new one by the old one, it was not the root cause.
