Where do I put macros?

I installed some macros and put them in the default template, but this includes the macros in documents. Can I install some macros which will always be available without including them in the documents too?

Yes, put them in the My Macros - Standard library instead of in the document's Standard library. When run the macro will affect the last active document.

Note that each will have to have a different Module name, i.e., only one Module1 is allowed.
