Sometimes I want to view and edit the same page in portrait orientation and then landscape. How do I change the view while having the images also change? When I switch from portrait to landscape, the images in portrait orientation stay in portrait.
Basically I want to view the whole page rotated 90 degrees and have everything rotate 90 degrees.

Re: Rotate page view in Draw?
Why not rotate the page, then group the images and rotate them?
Apache OpenOffice 4.1.16 on Xubuntu 24.04.4 LTS
Re: Rotate page view in Draw?
I thought about that. I want to switch back and forth often, and was wondering if there was an easier way. Kinda like Adobe Acrobat has the rotate page function. If Draw doesn't have it, I will do as you suggested.
I really like OpenOffice and want to thank all the people that make it possible.

Re: Rotate page view in Draw?
It is not possible in the Draw application.Sometimes I want to view and edit the same page in portrait orientation and then landscape.
- You can use only one pagestyle per document. Therefore all of the the pages (slides) can be portrait XOR landscape oriented in a document.
- Changing the page orientation will not affect the orientation of the contents on the pages.
- The Draw has not "Print preview" function (maybe: because the editing area of the Draw is very similar to the print preview state...)
Workarounds:
- Use the zoom factor to view a full portrait page on a landscape type monitor.
- Try to use a larger and/or rotatable monitor.
- Or you can write a macro, that will change the orientation of the page, will rotate all of the graphical objects and will recalculate their new position on the changed page. (It is a very complicated and very inefficient solution.)
- Try to make a PDF export periodicaly (manually or by a macro). You can rotate the result in your PDF reader application.

Re: Rotate page view in Draw?
Many graphics drivers for Windows support fast change of orientation. Ctrl+Alt+arrow key will orient the top of the viewing area in the arrow direction. You may be able to use that with a maximized window for fast preview. Not good if you want to work on the drawing in alternate orientations.
