My OS is Vista Ultimate. Just upgraded to newest OO version 2.3. I am using an Epson Stylus C84 printer. I did not have this problem with the previous version. Only text documents in OO will not print. When I attempt a pdf export, it exports the correct number of pages, but all content is blank. The writing does not appear. I saw the other posting that cannot print and mine sounds the same, though it may not be, so I posted as a different thread. Everything else prints normally (from other programs, like Adobe, IE, etc.), just not open office documents, so it isn't a printer problem. I did check the page format as directed in the other thread, but that made no difference either. Something is wrong with the new version, or a setting has changed somewhere that is now default, but was not default before, or something. I've tried everything I can think of with no results. I also tried uninstalling and then reinstalling my printer, but it did not make any difference. Any ideas? Thank you in advance for your assistance and input.
Spreadsheets print just fine, just the Writer won't print. Never mind I guess. I give up. No responses. I'll be installing Microsoft Office now. At least it will print. I've never had this problem with previous versions of OO. I even tried installing the beta OO 2.3.1 and had the same problem. The other thread with the same problem never received any responses that helped him either. I've been able to put off purchasing Microsoft Office for a couple years since OO had been working so well, but it doesn't do me much good if I can't print anything from it and pdf exports are blank, so can't print from it either. Oh well. Maybe they will get the problem ironed out one of these days.

Did you try deleting the default template? If it had become corrupt it is possible it has some weird internal formatting (i.e. white text or some such thing interpreted for print?)
Just thinking through some possible scenarios.
Have you tried opening a plain text document in OO.o Writer and try printing that? What about creating a document in OO.o Writer, save as MS .Doc format (version 6 or earlier) and then seeing what MS Wordpad, or the MS Vista equivalent is, does when you try to print from there.
In other words, is it creating it in the document, or is it a function of the software? You might also try pasting a simple picture into an OO.o Writer document to see if it is a text issue.

Did you try renaming your user profile folder? Did you try reinstalling the older version? Can you provide a link to "the other thread"? I tried to search for it and didn't find it.
