[Solved] Emailing Documents

Novice Here.
When emailing a text document, arrives okay but with all the editing features as well, is this normal? Have tried several times, but each is the same, I can edit emailed document.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

I am not quite clear what you exactly did and what you expect.

If you e-mail a OpenOffice Writer document as an attachment, then it is editable. This is what most people would want in order to be able to continue to work on the document.
You could create a PDF file of your document and e-mail it. PDF documents cannot be edited without special tools.

Or am I completely misunderstanding you?
In this case please let me know some more details.

What are the "editing features"?

Do you mean 'changes'? If so have a look at Edit > Changes
