[Solved] Unable to save in odt format

Post by slobine »

Welcome beginner. Please answer all of the questions below which may provide information necessary to answer your question.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Which version of OpenOffice.org are you using? - 2.4
What Operating System (version) are you using? - XP
What is your question or comment?
Today, for no apparent reason and with whichever save process I use, my 2.4 will no longer save in odt format. After saving a new file and looking at the explorer "file" column it states, "file" instead of the usual odt text. When saving the the "save as type" box displays the usual odt statement. When opening the file I am asked which program I want to use to open the file. I have turned my laptop off and on again but it makes no difference. l have no idea what happened. How can I save in odt format again? - Also, the default save format is set to odt.

I think it's rather that one: [Solved] Problems saving (no/unknown file type).

Thanks to add '[Solved]' at beginning of your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.

Don't, that's part of the learning curves (both OOo and forums)!
