Hi everyone,
I just got a new computer, and have copied over some old docs that were created on my old machine. They were created with an older version of Open Office, but I can't remember which. They were saved in Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP format.
What's weird is that on my new computer I have the latest version of OO, and when I open one of these older docs, then re-save it, the size increases in size dramatically (one went from 10kb to 70kb). I'm saving in Word 97/2000/XP format again, so I'm wondering what in the world is causing the files to get so big even though I HAVEN'T EDITED THEM AT ALL.
any thoughts?
thanks.

Re: Old files increasing in size?
It's a known bug : Issue 67371 - WW8: doc files exported from OOo 2.0.3 are now 68k instead of 8k with older builds that should be fixed in next release (2.4).
