[Solved] 3.0 uninstall
[Solved] 3.0 uninstall
I downloaded 3.0 instead of 2.4 by accident. 3.0 was a bit unstable (hesitation when typing etc.) so I decided to download 2.4. I could not find the Beta listed anywhere in applications so I could not drag it to the trash, but I downloaded 2.4 anyway. Now, when I open a document it opens by default to 3.0. I can only use 2.4 if I open it from the desktop icon and then open a document. I still cannot find 3.0 listed anywhere on my macbook (10.5.2). I've tried finder, spotlight, and various appfinders for mac. Where can it be? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Bill

Re: 3.0 uninstall
You could try the following:
- launch OOo 3.0
- go to 'Utilities' and launch 'Terminal'. Resize the window to become as wide as possible. Now type:
ps aux ¦ grep soffice
=> You should be able to grab the full path of 3.0 from the output.
- launch OOo 3.0

ps aux ¦ grep soffice

Re: 3.0 uninstall
Thanks! That did give me the path. I found it and dumped it in the trash. I had a little trouble trying to find that symbol between aux and grep (shift+backslash?).
