[Solved] Create a Banner

Post by michael henderson »

How do I create a banner to span 4-5 feet. I believe the process exists but so far I cannot locate it?

Hello and welcome to the community forum!

OO Draw is not really set up for this, but I believe it is possible.

There are two possible approaches:
1) Work with a page size that matches the finished banner.
2) Work with a smaller page size that maintains the same aspect (width:height) and scale it when you print.

I'd try the second, myself, just because it can be a pain to work with a very large page and large font sizes. But with the zoom adjusted, it shouldn't be ok.

OO Draw can handle a page size up to 3m (~9feet).

I don't know how the printer you're using will handle this; it may not use a page at all.

Solved--Your suggestion was spot-on. Banner printed across six pages on my printer (HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus) with no effort. Will use exacto knife and tape to finish. Thank you very much. --Mike Henderson
