Hello everybody.
I don't know why it happens but it's really very annoying. Whenever I open a file openoffice requres password for samba share. I DON'T want to give password because I don't want to use openoffice as samba client. How can it be fixed?

Re: OpenOffice 4.0.1 requires authentication using samba sha
I have the same situation, on OpenOffice 4.0.1 and 4.1.1 both in CentOS 6.5.
When I try to open files directly from the network (using Samba 3), the OpenOffice tries to open the file requiring an authentication, but ican't open the files even the correctlly autentication.
When I copy to local host the to open and to edit functions works normally.
