Trouble with OOo and Internet

Post by BERD »

There seems to be 2 problems that I am having when I am connected into OOo and the internet at the same time: :? 1- When I minimize OOo and connect into an internet site and then when I am done with the internet and close it out often OOo is closed on me. 2 - The reverse also happens thus causing me to loose info that I do not want to loose.

I think you need to provide a little more detail here. Are you seeing any error messages pop up? Is the application silently crashing?

If checked try unchecking the boxes at Tools > Options > OOo > Online Update.

1. Berd, by "Internet" do you mean Microsoft's web browser called "Internet Explorer"?
2. If there is a crash, you could try upgrading the latest version OpenOffice.org 2.4.1.
3. Are you using Windows XP? Or Windows Vista? Or some other operating system?
4. Which button do you use to minimize OpenOffice.org? In the top-right-hand-corner of each window, there are usually three buttons. You should use the button on the far left of this group.
