Header/footer positioned in Landscape as in Portrait

Hello,

I want to position the header/footer in Landscape as in Portrait. Is there a way I can do that, or should I just use a workaround? Is there any workaround, e.g. change table orientation from Portrait to Landscape?
I have a table that is too wide do be displayed properly in Portrait orientation, so I had to change the page orientation for it, but I want to have the header and the footer positioned as if the Landscape pages were of Portrait orientation.

If you mean that you want the footer in landscape to run along the bottom of the page (ie along the long side) then do it as follows:

Assume you are working in portrait. Insert > Manual Break > Page break > choose Landscape from the Styles box. This makes the next, and all following pages, landscape.

Now place your cursor in a landscape page and Format > Page > Footer > etc. This places the footer along the bottom edge (long side) of the landscape page(s).

To convert back to portrait go Insert > Manual break > Page break > and choose the same style as you were using before - probably Default.

Once you have inserted a Page break, you can format the pages following that break as you wish.

If you want the "footer" to run along the short side of landscape page, then you need a workaround. Insert > Frame > untick the Autosize, select No border. Stretch to size. Format > Page and increase the right margin to allow for the "footer". You will need to rotate the text in the frame so it flows from bottom to top, or top to bottom. See Rotating Text

Yes, I want the footer to run along the short side of the landscape page. Too bad that this can only be achieved by means of a workaround. The developers must provide an option that will enable achieving this with ease.

I doubt that is high on (or indeed even on) the developers priority list. The workaround is simple and I am sure they would say "If you want landscape so your content runs parallel to the long side, why do you want the footer to be at 90 deg to it, where the reader cannot easily read it?"

An alternative is to have no "footer" on the landscape page(s), and restart the page count on the next portrait page. Page number is set by Format > Paragraph of the first paragraph following a page break (even if the paragraph is empty), where the number can be incremented by 1 to take account of the landscape page.

The answer is simple actually: I want the Footer and Header in Landscape to be positioned as in Portrait mode, because the book will only be in Portrait. So the Footer & Header will be much more legible than the table within that page. As the table runs on several pages it will be somewhat difficult to repeat this workaround on each page.

Anyway, I decided to use the standard Header/Footer for Landscape, as the Header & Footer really need to be present.
