[Solved] Spacing of paragraph below image/graphic in Writer

Please forgive me if this has already been answered elsewhere (I couldn't find it).
The issue I am finding is that when I insert an image/graphic (3 ways: paste; insert>picture>from file and gallery>insert>copy), the same thing happens: each time there is a space below the image that I can't get rid of.
This only seems to occur when the image is set As character, not when set To character.
I tried looking at Paragraph settings (set to 0.00cm above and below paragraph) and Image wrap (set to 0.00cm top/right/bottom/left).
You can see what I mean in the attached image.
Am I missing a setting?

I've noticed this also since 4.0: put your cursor just after the pic (so on the same line), type a space (or any character), the space below the pic should disappear. Delete the character typed and you're done.
Note that when you save, the space should disappear when reloaded.
No showstopper but a kind of PITA...

I intend to file a bug report for it but had no time yet for that.

Oh thank-you for that work-around!
I thought it may have been a setting I was missing! It was kind of driving me crazy...
I know it's a bug, but I will put [Solved] at the top, as it has been solved for my purposes.
