Hello everyone,
I'm currently in the process of creating a dictionary extension for OpenOffice and I've made good progress, but now I've run into a problem. The dictionary is for a language (Low Saxon, nds_DE) that is not already listed in the menu for the default document language under Tools>Options>Language Settings>Languages, and it does not show up there after installing the extension. I am however able to use the extension via the paragraph style font tab, and then it works the way it should.
What do I have to do so that people can use this dictionary as the default for all documents?

Hi and welcome to the forum!
Can you upload your extension somewhere so that we try?

Indeed, I see the same. You should report it: [Tutorial] Reporting bugs or suggestions.
As a workaround, you can create a template with that language set for the Default paragraph style. But each user will have to import this template and make it the default.
