Hi everyone,
I am wanting to install OpenOffice on my Windows XP computer, but it doesn't have internet. So I'm trying to download it to my Android 4.1.1 tablet and then put it on a USB drive and transfer it over. However when I go to the Apache OpenOffice website it says that OO is not supported by Android (since the tablet is Android, but I actually want Windows version for my PC), and to find the alternate download page. But the only page I can find are these two - http://www.apache.org/dyn/aoo-closer.cgi/openoffice/ and http://www.openoffice.org/porting/index.html/ which don't seem to be what I need. Do I download the WinPenPack on the Ports page (2nd URL above) or am I attempting something that won't work?
Thanks for any help,
AileKahleil

Re: Installing on WinXP via a tablet.
Ignore the automatic suggestion of a version of OpenOffice for your operating system on the tablet (there isn't one, as you have found). Go to
http://www.openoffice.org/download/other.html and select the version for the Operating system (Windows) and language you require,. Download this and transfer to USB key (observe USB removal protocol) and install on your XP computer.

OK, downloaded it to the tablet, then transferred it over. Had to go back and do the same thing to get Java (tablet->USB>computer) and now all works fine.
Thx for your help Rory!
