[Solved] Can't get rid of blue pages

I made a presentation with a blue slide background in the master slide. The next time I started writer, the entire page was blue. Formatting the background color of the page only changes the text area, not the margins. I went back to the presentation module and changed the master slide color to white. This did not fix the problem in writer. Finally, I uninstalled v 2.2 and installed v 2.3. No change. Cannot get rid of the blue pages. They are blue on screen and they print blue. The effect carries over to the help screens. All the help screen pages are blue. Makes it hard to get around since the links are in the same color. I see the pointer change when I pass over a link, but I can't read the link.

What am I missing?

Check Tools > Options > OO.org > Appearance > General > Document background

Set that to "Automatic", or to white if auto doesn't fix it.
