I am using a Dell Inspiron 6000 running on XP Professional with windows basic 2003. After installing OO 2.3, Microsoft Word will open but freeze immediatelly weather when needed for new document or when Microsoft Office Outlook requires it to forward a message or creeate a new message. In addition, I am getting the "spooler subsystem App encountered a problem and needed closed" and "the instructions at 0x7c91 of 1e referenced memory at 0x026860004. the memory could not be read" error messages.
I uninstalled the OO, and I am left with the same issues. More so, I tryied to uninstalle Windows Office basic 2003 from the control panel and I cannot!
Any ideeas please?
OO installation knocked out Microsoft Word and sprinterooler
Re: OO installation knocked out Microsoft Word and sprinterooler
Did a search on the Internet for "spooler subsystem" and came up with the fact you may have spyware or a trojan on your system. Do you have all your spyware and anti-virus software up-to-date?
Not likely that you actually contracted something from OO.o, likely it came to light because of the change.
So, two things. Check for spyware/virus on the computer.
Two, confirm your download of OO.o.
Hopefully this helps.
