importing Impress Slides

Post by AndyNandy »

Hi all,

i'm searching for an answer for some time now but I don't get it ...

I am in the process of developing a technical training. For this I need the slides for the presentation what I want to do with Impress. But then there are the materials I want to give to my students. It is not enough to use the Impress Handout-Function and so I wanted to write this in Writer. But how do I get the slides into the writer document? With OLE only the first page is embedded, then I tried hyperlinks, but it only embeds a textlink or a button and not the slides. :-(

Can anyone of you push me in the right direction?

regards, Andy

Not easy task if yo have hundreds of slides
Export each slide as graphics: File>Export as jpg or png, for smaller size.
Insert graphics into writer doc: Insert>Picture>From File...

Oh ... that was not the answer I was hoping to get. :-(
Yes, there will be many slides. And they will also be changed from time to time and new slides get added.

I was hoping for some integration of these two components (I think I can't be the first one with this problem).
Ok, then I'll look next how comfortable the export is. (And I really hope that the solution for my problem is not MS Office ...)

Thanks for the reply!

I think I can alleviate you of that fear. From what I can tell, there is no way to directly import PowerPoint slides into Word, either.

I don't remember WordPerfect/Presentations well enough to tell you if it did that or not.
