Welcome beginner. Please answer all of the questions below which may provide information necessary to answer your question.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Version of open office: V2.4
Operating System is Windows Vista

Is there a way that I'd be able to download the entire Basic Wiki somewhere as a zip file?

Hi,

AFAIK there is no possibility to download the complete Wiki.

However, most of the content of the Wiki is available as user guides from the Documentation Project webpage.

Do you mean you want to download the OpenOffice.org BASIC Guide?
(this one: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wik ... ASIC_Guide )

There are ways to do this... it's messy, but possible. We're working on finding a nice clean way to produce an ODT file from the Wiki source, but it is far from perfect right now.

If this is what you want, I can provide you some instructions on how to do this....

You can also use the MediaWiki API to "get" pages out of the OOoWiki.

If you're looking for the whole OpenOffice.org Wiki... it's HUGE... many hundreds of megabytes (if you include the images) and growing. Not really practical to bundle up for download
