Error message when attempting to install

Post by lesliek19 »

I'm using OOo2.4 for Linux.

I'm trying to install Sun_ODF_Template_Pack_en-US.oxt. When I try to install it, I get a message that says:

/home/leslie/.openoffice.org2/user/uno_packages/cache/uno_packages/EHBtzY/OOoWikipedia-2.1.zip does not exist.

I've searched this site for "OOoWikipedia-2.1.zip" without success.

How can I solve this problem?

Thanks for reading this.

From where does that extension come from? I've not found it in the extension page. The package may be broken with a missing file. Is there any report process on the site you've downloaded it?

I actually found the extension (here: Professional Template Pack - English), installed it and no error message but no trace of any wikipedia package.

Thanks very much for replying, Hagar de l'Est.

Yes, that's the package I'm trying to install.

As you can see from the extension's page, it's said that one can "Keep an overview over your personal and mortgage expenses with the spreadsheet templates".

That's what attracted me to the package in the first place.

Well, when I try to open a new template in Calc, I have no such templates, though I do have some others that I assume came by default. That's why I take it that I haven't managed to install any templates at all from the extension.

Is there some way to force an install, ignoring the missing file?

Thanks again for replying.

To be sure, I installed also the extension on my Linux box (I was under W2k in my previous post) and I don't get your error message. Perhaps there is a problem with your OOo version. But anyway, there is no mortgage template in the provided files. It seems that the content has been modified and the description hasn't.

As a workaround, you can search the web for such template, even those for MS Excel work fine.
