importing Dbase file with DOS/OS2-850/International char set

Post by HWJ »

Hi,

I'd like to import a Dbase file (.dbf) which is encoded in Western Europe (DOS/OS2-850/International).
When I import it into Calc, this encoded is suggested and works just fine.
But if I import it (directly) into a new Base document it doesn't ask for the encoding
and it gets it wrong.

What can I do about it?

Many thanks for a hint,
Helmut.

Have a look at Base-Menu:Edit>Database>Properties...
