How can I link form fields to table w/o form wizard?

Post by nzdreamer55 »

Hello everyone,

I have created a simple table in base and a simple form that has the same fields. I want to use the form to fill in the table, but I cannot figure this out. I can use the wizard to create a form from the table.
Is it really hard to just link the two that I initially created?

Thanks

The REAL answer is here: http://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/vi ... 83&t=32757.

Here is a summary if you have already made your table:
  • 1. In the main .odb window, select Forms from the left panel and right-click the form you want to edit.
    2. Select edit.
    3. In the Form Design tool bar of the form you edit, click the Form Navigation button:

    4. In the Form Navigator window that pops up, right click Standard and select Properties.
    5. Click on the Data tab of the Form Properties window that pops up.
    6. In the Content.... entry, use the pull down to select your table of interest.
    7. Close the Form Properties and Form Navigator windows.
    8. Save the form.
