Changing default export file type to EPS instead of PNG

Post by shapehead »

In OO Draw, how do I change the default behaviour of EXPORT? Currently it wants to export to PNG format. I want to change the default to EPS.
Thanks

I don't think it possible to change that default.

However, for me, OOo "remembers" the last export format, and offers that first on the next export. So you should only have to select EPS once, unless you're exporting to more than one graphics format, of course.

I have the same annoying problem. It does not remember the last export setting for me. I have version 2.4 running under kubuntu, what's your version?

I'm using 2.4, either from Fedora or from OO.org, but it's had this behavior for a long time.

You may want to try the OO.org download--Ubuntu's OOo packages seem to have more than their share of glitches.

You might also try creating a new user and running OOo under there, so that it gets a fresh settings profile. It's not unusual for OOo's settings to get corrupted, causing mysterious problems.

Thanks for the tip. I am actually running the oo.org version, but even with a fresh profile, this problem persists. I also checked the /etc/openoffice files, which look pretty harmless. Seems it's time to give inkscape a serious try...

The export format from Draw is remembered for me to on Windows XP Home, even after restarting OpenOffice. Inkscape is pretty good though and will provide more options.
