No. It is a fork of OpenOffice.orgjareddigby wrote:Is it the new OpenOffice
OOo is now part of Apache. New releases (starting in about three months) will be as Apache OpenOffice.

LibreOffice 3.6.6 on Mac OS X 10.6
Re: LibreOffice
I like OOo better. OOo 3.3 does everything I need and has never crashed. I haven't tried the latest version of LO, but every previous version I tried crashed within 24 hours of installation. I won't trade stability for "newer".jareddigby wrote:I LibreOffice better, OpenOffice hasnt been updated since jan

Re: LibreOffice
Splitting hairs, it’s a fork of a fork. LibO is based on Go-OO, the latter being forked from OOo some time ago.lgusaas wrote:No. It is a fork of OpenOffice.orgjareddigby wrote:Is it the new OpenOffice
AOO 4.2.0 (of 2015) / LO 7.x / Win 7 / openSUSE Linux Leap 15.4 (64-bit)

Re: LibreOffice
You can try LO 3.3.4. I find it as rock solid as Ooo 3.3.0. However, LO 3.4.4 is really bad. It crashes all the time.Bill wrote:I like OOo better. Once used LO 3.4.4
Now use Ooo 3.3.0 / LO 3.3.4
GNOME Shell 3.2
Ubuntu Oneric 11.10
