I have been trying to format a negative fraction in brackets for the past half hour and have had no success.
I've tried every variation I could think of. ({1} over {3})^2 That is the format I have used, and different variations of placement for the negative has come up with all the results but what I am in need of. The closest I have been able to get is using ((-)1 over 3)^2 but that leaves the ¿ of an unfinished equation.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the quick reply. Oddly that seems to have been the only format I hadn't tried.
