[Solved (workaround)] Good book recommendation?

Post by barriehie »

Hello Everyone,

I've had it trying to get a form to work with my table! It's either RO or the autoincrement doesn't work. Can anyone recommend a good book for getting started with this? It seems that the tutorials I'm finding on the web don't match up with what I see on the screen! :o

Thank You,
Barrie

Edit: Okay, I found the fix. I edited /etc/openoffice/soffice.sh by commenting out the file locking lines. When the file is open it still says read-only at the top but it IS editable at this point.

Well, that's a dangerous workaround perhaps.

To help us help you, please read the Survival Guide for the forum. It appears that you're running Linux, it may have its importance.

NB: had you checked the wiki (see link at top of the Base forum)?
LibreOffice 25.2 on Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE Faye) and 24.8 portable on Windows 11.
