[Solved] Downloaded LibreOffice great. Now won't let me open

Post by paelbur »

Yesterday I downloaded LibreOffice for the first time and used it for a few hours. Loved it. Easy to use, created forms, wrote a few pages of terms and conditions, saved. Edited another pre-existing document created on Word 2007, saved as pdf. No problems at all.

Today won't let me open LibreOffice at all. Tried via the desktop icon. tried via the drop down list.

Fell in love and now rejected. Please help in plain easy to understand English. Good creating documents not so good on tech.
Thank you

Did you try restarting the computer or shutting down the soffice.bin processes in the Windows Task Manager? Failure of the processes to shut down when closing OOo/LO is the most common cause of restart failure.

Most importantly, you should disable the so called "quick starter" to avoid such problems.
Tools>Options...Memory: "Load on system start" = OFF
Please, edit this topic's initial post and add "[Solved]" to the subject line if your problem has been solved.
