[Solved] Where to download 3.3.1

Post by speredo99 »

Latest CPU states the following:

All issues listed on CPU April 2011 have been resolved in Oracle Open Office 3.3.1 It is recommended to upgrade older versions of StarOffice/StarSuite to Oracle Open Office 3.3.1 - where can users download this version or patchset to get 3.3.1?

You will have to go to the Oracle site and see if you can find the download. OpenOffice.org is still on version 3.3.0. OpenOffice.org is not = to Oracle Open Office, which was StarOffice and renamed to cause this type of confusion.

The Oracle Open Office patch site for users was the last Oracle Open Office site to be changed. It will again be an issue since many of us have perpetual licenses which is a Sun concept which is not part of Oracle. This has happened before and the update site have been restored.

You can try the OOo 3.4 beta or LibreOffice 3.3.2 to see if the changes are there.

Where to download 3.3.0??? (Not failed Russian version)

Post by danilora »

Hello guys!

I know that I isn't correct to write here.
But I don't know where I can download OOo 3.3.0 (Russian version), which doesn't make system write "NSIS_Error". [I've dowloaded from www.openoffice.org and had the same problem.]
I have Windows 7 64-bit.

Please, help me.

Thank you.
Good luck.

You have a corrupted download. Try again or try LibreOffice http://www.libreoffice.org/download/.

Perhaps try downloading using a P2P utility such as uTorrent of BitTorrent; these are very useful on bad or slow connections.

Reply:
Do you think that I have a bad connection?..
I downloaded the language pack (Ukrainian) successfully. Also I downloaded LibreOffice 3.3 without problem...
I don't understand this situation... I'm looking for good office software, 'cos I hate MicrosoftOffice (also it's so expensive for me).

Thank you for suggestion. I'll try to use P2P utility.

I wish you luck, guys!

NSIS error usually indicates a corrupted file; this can arise through a number of ways but the usual one is a bad download, sometimes from a bad connection, sometimes from a screen saver cutting in during the download, or for many other reasons. Often a fresh attempt to download will work, but a P2P utility offers intrinsically better error checking than a straight download, particularly on a slow or noisy connection..

RoryOF, thank you very much!

I've tried to download through P2P and had a success. BitTorrent really works. OpenOffice 3.3 is installed.

Best.
