Where is the events tab for controls?

After a control is placed on a form, I tried to connect a macro to react to an event associated with that control. It appears from the help documentation that there should be an EVENTS tab for the control so a maco can be attached. I right-clicked on the control, the popup displayed a list from which I clicked on control which displayed properties of the control but there is no page for selecting events associated with the instance of the control on the form. What am I failing to recongnize?

Possibly you have a two controls grouped together (label + actual control element). Right-click>Group>Ungroup.
