[Solved] Unedited and Edited Files Printing Unwanted

Hi, not sure if I should post this in troubleshooting or the regular Writer forum, as I don't know if this is a bug or intended. Also couldn't find any threads on this through searching...guess I don't know how to word it.

Last night, my documents starting doing this strange thing where, when I sent them to the printer, two copies would print simultaneously: a copy of the file as I'd originally opened it, and a copy as I'd edited it (pretty sure I'd saved it with the new changes before printing.) If this is a bug, help? If this is intended, how do I turn it off? Can't seem to find an option covering this.

I have never experienced this; are you recording changes in your documents? A possible solution is to delete or rename your User Profile for OpenOffice, which cures a large number of unexplained happenings in OpenOffice. If you have much customisation, rename, so that you can later bring forward the customisation files. Details on the profile are given at

Thanks! Recreating the user profile seems to have fixed it. Not really sure why, as I've only have OOo on this machine for about a week, and pretty much no customization. The only thing I can think of is that it started doing this after I tried to open a PDF in Writer the other night. If I have time, I may try to replicate that if you guys want.

One reason may be: You had a profile of a long forgotten old version on that machine. Sometimes such an old profile imports badly when you install a recent version.
