Hello. Does anyone else find that alt and cursor keys to move an object slightly in writer don't work on the X11 version? I'm on OSX 10.4.11, OO 2.3.
I've fiddled about with the X11 settings to no avail.
Any ideas?
Cheers, Mike
[NOTE: I originally wrote control instead of alt - hence the inconsistency in the replies below. Apologies for the confusion.]

Re: ctrl + cursor broken in writer?
Not sure what you use ctrl for, but in some cases you use command-click to get the contextual menus in the X11 version. You may need to set this up as a preference.

Re: ctrl + cursor broken in writer?
If you paste something into writer, like a table from calc or a picture (I presume a frame works as well), then click it to select it, you can move it around with the cursor keys. Holding alt should make it move in smaller steps - it doesn't on my system. Give it a try if you have a moment, I'm toying with filing a bug report.

There are some hints here: [Tutorial] Reporting bugs. Don't forget to post the address to the bug report here afterwards.confuseling wrote:I'm toying with filing a bug report.

Thanks - I really need someone to verify that it's actually a bug first, rather than something peculiar to my machine.
If anyone is using the Mac X11 version, please could you test this? It'll take five seconds.
