Hello,
OS X 10.6.4 and OpenOffice 3.2.1.
ALT + > and Alt + < in Calc don't take the cursor to next or previous space between words like it does in all other applications including Writer. Instead they resize the cell.
How do I fix this?
Thanks
Fred

Re: Navitate to space between words in Calc
Do you stored long sentences with many spaces in cells? Or you want to jump to next cell?
Try the "Customize toolbar/menu/keyboard" option.
In Writer I find the "to word left" and "to word right" functions in navigate category. I can assign it to a Shortcut key. Do not find them in Calc in same category. But when I edit a long text in a cell, the function works for me by CTRL-Left, CTRL-Right shortcut keys (under Windows).

Re: Navitate to space between words in Calc
cmd+arrow should do what you want. Works in other applications, including Writer.
Many of the "ctrl" shortcuts from other platforms use the command key in the Mac version.

Apache OO 4.1.16 and LibreOffice 25.8, mostly on Ms Windows 10 and 11.

Thanks! that worked in Calc.cmd+arrow should do what you want. Works in other applications, including Writer.
In Writer, Cmd + arrows take me to the end or beginning of the line. In Writer, Text Editor and all applications I've tested with, Alt + arrows take me to next or previous space.
I have the wireless keyboard. Maybe that's different.

I think it depends on setting of shortcut keys (see in my previous post - pictures)In Writer, Cmd + arrows take me to the end or beginning of the line. In Writer, Text Editor and all applications I've tested with, Alt + arrows take me to next or previous space.

Re: [Solved] Navitate to space between words in Calc
My settings are the same as yours; Cmd + arrows are supposed to take me to right or left of words.I think it depends on setting of shortcut keys (see in my previous post - pictures)
But in practise, they instead, as I wrote, take me to beginning or end of line.
I think it's an universsal setting in Mac for the wireless keyboard which takes over.
As I said, in Text Editor and all applications I've tested, except Calc, At + arrows take me to nearest space.
