Have un-installed Open Office because of related crash dumps and am using Windows Vista Home. I was using an older version of Office when the problems started so I installed the latest version and the problem persisted. A window opened with this message:
"Either another instance of Open Office.org is accessing your personal settings or your personal settings are locked. Simultaneous access can lead to inconcistices in your personal settings. Before continuing you should make sure user "closes Open Office.org on host"."
Does anyone know how to correct this?? Thanx, Al S

Close OOo. Check if there is a .lock file in your OOo user profile (C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\OpenOffice.org2). If so, delete it.

LibreOffice 25.2 on Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE 7 Gigi) and 24.8 portable on Windows 11.
