[Solved] Can I download ONLY calc?

Hi,
Can i download and install only calc on my computer or do i have to have the full OO package?
Also does anyone know if calc can read csv files?

Any info will be greatly appreciated

1. I'm pretty sure you have to download the entire package.
2. Yes, Calc can import/read/output csv files

Every text editor can handle csv. And first of all it is a database format.
One tiny download gets you a dedicated csv editor for Windows which performs much better than any spreadsheet: http://csved.sjfrancke.nl/

I installed OO.o3.2 but OO.o Base is not active on the menu or main window.
any help?

Many of the Linux distro versions of OpenOffice do not include OOo Base by default and it must be loaded separately by their package manager. If you use the vanilla Sun/Oracle version from www.openoffice.org, it should be included, but this version can be trivkier to load on Linux distros than the distro version.

You have to download the whole package but then when installing you can select only calc - this is still over 300mb though.

Installing only a part of the complete package has in the past often given odd side effects, so on this forum we normally recommend to install everything. If you only want a standalone spreadsheet program, there are others, such as gnumeric.
