Due to unexpected error

Which version of OpenOffice.org are you using?2.4
What Operating System (version) are you using?Mac Intel 10.4.11
What is your question or comment? I've installed Open Office 2.4 and when I try to open new or existing documents I get the following error:

'Due to an unexpected error, OpenOffce.org crashed. Al the files you were working on will not be saved. The next time OpenOffice.org s launched, your files will be recovered automatically.'

Why would I get this message? Is something set up wrong? How do I fix?

I've installed Open Office 2.4

Where did you download from? OOo 2.4 is still at RC (Release Candidate) stage. This means it should be stable, but it is possible that unexpected bugs will appear.
