[Solved] Turn OFF 'clippy' clone for tables

Post by fishtoprecords »

I tend to use a lot of tables in my documents, and the 'helpful' floating toolbar drives me nuts. How can I turn it off so it doesn't hover over my copy and block my reading of what I just wrote?

Thanks

p.s. reminds me of old Word's stupid floating paper clip.

You are probably referring to the "Table" toolbar, i.ie the toolbar that offers all functionality for tables.

You can either dock it by double-clinking its title, or disable it by unchecking View > Toolbars > Table
from the main menu.

Another options is to dock the toolbar on the side of your document and/or top/bottom like other toolbars.

Yes. I didn't know the name.

Docking it works wonderfully.
Thanks
