Cut and Paste

Post by qball263 »

I sure hope someone can help me as a very GOOD job position depends on this. I have my resume' in Writer and it will not let me cut/paste nor copy to a desired area on a website (job application). The icons in the task bar are "dim" as are the cut, paste, and copy under "edit". Can ANYBODY help me as this is the only way that the potential employer will accept a resume. Many thanks in advance...

Impossible to say without more information about the text box you want to paste your information into. Maybe the text box doesn't accept formatted text. Try to copy it to Notepad first and to paste it from Notepad.

It may be that the file is opened Read-only.

Oops, if you can't copy in Writer, something is seriously wrong.

You can copy from a read-only document, but you can't, of course, cut from or paste into it.
