Can Base connect to Filemaker Pro?

I am using Oxygen Office in a Windows XP environment. I wanted to know if I could use Base to take information from a Filemaker Pro database and populate a multipage report in Writer.

Alternatively, would it be easier to use Sun Reports and import those into my Writer document?
