[Solved] Aligning pictures in Writer

I have a couple of problems with open office - Writer. I start with the first one: aligning pictures.
All my pics in the document are automatically left aligned, and the buttons for right aligning or centering pictures disappear as soon as I click on a picture.
I have added the align commands to my toolbar, but it didn't help, because they turned hazy and I could't click on them.
What to do??? I really want my pics to be centered, and sometimes right aligned!

I found the solution myself. For aligning pictures, I should not click the picture itself, but put the cursor immediately to the right of the picture, and then it is possible to align the picture.
I'll continue to my next problem.
