Post by ssnow06 »

Welcome beginner. Please answer all of the questions below which may provide information necessary to answer your question.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Which version of OpenOffice.org are you using? 2.3.1
What Operating System (version) are you using? XP
What is your question or comment?

Well i got open office at the beginning of my sophomore year. Half way through the year the school switched everything over to the latest version of office. Some of the material i need is in .docx configuration. Can open office open that? if so, how? if not, what do i need to do to change it so i can open them? Thanks!! :D

N, it's MS's OpenXML. Wait until the next major update of OOo, and/or ask people to send files to you in .doc format (Word 2000, 2002 at the latest).

Please read the Survival guide for the forum first. This question is asked very often. :)
