[Solved] Calc as default

Solved - in fact, it's impossible change the writer as "initial page". I already new how to access another new documents, but I'd prefer it accessed automatically, because I almost never use writer and every access I have to close this window... But I added a icon on my desktop to a template spreadsheet, and this has been useful.

Hello! First: Sorry my bad english... Well, when I open OpenOffice.org, it opens a new text document, but I'd prefer it starts a new spreadsheet... I've tried by changing default templates but it hasn't worked... The options found in help aren't avaiable in the context menu (at least I couldn'd find it)...

P.S.: I use OpenOffice.org 2.3 for mac.

I use OpenOffice.org 2.3 for mac.

On Windows or Linux you have a menu entry "OpenOffice.org" and sub entries "Writer", "Calc" and so on.

From a command line one could start with soffice -calc or arrange such an icon (with -calc as program start parameter).

Look into your menu structure or create an icon on your desktop.

Thanks for answering!!! But I still can't found how to do this on macOS... There isn't this entry on mac, it starts automatically... I also couldn't find where to type a command line... Anyway, I think that the faster solution will be create a "shortcut" on my desktop of a spreadsheet template... But thanks again!

Seems to be a specificity of Mac version, see here: Just intalled, opens to Writer, don't see CALC, Draw, etc.
