HI,
i'm pretty new at impress and I would like to do some things.
I have to make a presentation for university with this requirements:
First page has to be different than the others, all other pages have the same style. How do you do this?
And how do you put a footnote to the dia, and the footnote has to be in another font style..
Thanks
Kim

Kim,
Make sure that the task pane is visible (Menu View > Task Pane). Click on the Layouts button in the task pane, and select the layout of your first slide, a title slide for example. For all oter slides, use Title with text. If you need to use a different font, you can either type your text (first click on the big blue T on one of the toolbar, then click on your slide where you want to position your footnote), then select it, then click on the menu Format > Character. When you are more proficient with Impress, learn about the styles which is an excellent way to ensure consistency of various parts of text in a presentation. While your text object is still selected, press F11 and double click on a style. You can obviously add styles (+ icon in the style box) and modify them (right click and modify). Enjoy!
