[Solved] Slide Show Settings Greyed Out?

Hi all- putting together a presentation from a couple of older Powerpoint presentations. The problem I'm having is that the slide show settings are greyed out, so I am unable to make changes to the timing (I want to manually change the slides). Anyone know why this is? Thanks!

I noticed that if no slide is selected, the Slide Transition panel is greyed, so you must select a slide first. Could it be an explanation?
LibreOffice 4.2.3.3. on Ubuntu 14.04
