Hi,
I have saved a Google Calendar as a .pdf document (print option in google calendar but used save as) then used Adobe Acrobat 8 to save the .pdf as a Microsoft Word document.
I do not have Microsoft Office on the computer I am currently using, but I have used this process before with Microsoft Office 2007 at work and I was able to read the resulting .doc file.
Unfortunately OpenOffice can not read the resulting .doc file, the first few characters are:

can anyone help?
Using Windows Vista Home Premium
Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional
OpenOffice 2.3.1
Configured OpenOffice Tools > Options > Microsoft Office to have all the options ticked
Adobe Acrobat 8 export as Word but unable to view in OpenOff

Unfortunately nobody can help you. Word is a proprietary format, and therefore each Company is trying to save to Word format using its best possible knowledge, but without being sure that it is 100% correct. In your case, I suggest that you open the file with Office 2007, then save it in the old Word XP format and try again.
LibreOffice 4.2.3.3. on Ubuntu 14.04

That isn't a Word file, it's jpeg.inthedark wrote:ffd8ffe00010
If you try again and you're still having problems, what exactly do you need to accomplish? Not even Acrobat can create a faithful reproduction of a document in Word format from a PDF. PDF is in printer language and it just doesn't "deconstruct" well to any editable format.
Cheers!

Hi,
Thanks for the help.
I wanted to create a 'nice' printout of our calendar data which could then be proof read before going live.
Using Google Calendar is fine until a non-computer user needs to check the calendar data......
I know I can save out as .ics but the google print-out is just what I wanted, easy to read and a bit of colour.
I will revert back to using Microsoft Office at Work,
Thanks again.

Did you know there's a Print link in the Google Calendar itself? Does that do what you need? There aren't many print options and my Google calendar isn't all that crowded, so I can't say how useful it might be for a busy schedule. The link is just above the calendar, on the right (before the view tabs).inthedark wrote:I wanted to create a 'nice' printout of our calendar data which could then be proof read before going live.
